Today, Uncle Joe left for home; Joey worked the electrical prep all day - we're ready to go... again... Got my mechanical permit today - also today, downstairs ductwork removed and new duct installation began. Rigid ducts this time ("spider" ducts before) so a big efficiency gain. A/C units arrived; replacing 13 SEER with 14 downstairs, and with 16 SEER and 95+ furnace upstairs - exciting. Will be without A/C tomorrow through Saturday - but cooled off nicely tonight - so hopeful it won't be unbearable. Still have the Rugnetta's window unit installed just in case.
Tomorrow, electric inspection, more duct installation; some vacuum and ventilation, insulation arrives between 9 and noon; Joey leaves on a 4pm train to DC for a few days before home to Minnesota. Best case scenario, I'll begin some insulation installation tomorrow. I'm itchy already.
