Pace still on track

Very good progress today. Two more wires to deal with, then electrical is done, finally. Plumbing day tomorrow - on track for inspection on Monday. A couple of low voltage items left to deal with - thermostat, doorbell started, speaker wire...

Guess it's worthwhile to discuss what we're finding and doing about electrical. 80% of the exposed copper, downstairs or up, is corroded. For the most part, downstairs (domestic walls), cutting back a few inches exposes good, clean, shiny wire. In the upstairs, some of the ground wire can be corroded several feet - for example, the wire controlling the fan in the master bath was corroded all the way to the ceiling before we got to clean wire. In any event, at the end of this work, I estimate that 80% of the wire will be completely new, and 98% will be corrosion free; the remaining 2% is very minor discoloration, no pitting - and is only left out of necessity.

Look for electrical and plumbing rough-in complete tomorrow!
